About the Event

Through the Watershed Education & Outreach program, efforts to improve water quality in Rockford include the implementation of a bioswale at Park-Er-Woods. A bioswale is a vegetated ditch that naturally filters and stores stormwater. To learn more about the project, visit the project page here.

Seeking volunteers to assist with native plant installations for a bioswale in Park-Er-Woods. Planting dates are currently being rescheduled. Please stay tuned for updates. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up using the "Volunteers Sign Up Here" button to the right, and we will send out an email to volunteers once the dates are finalized. Make sure to wear comfy shoes, and, if possible, please bring your own soil knives, hand trowels, and gloves.
